Payment and Deposit Policy

Thank you for considering our trekking or activity options! To secure your preferred dates and ensure our team’s availability for you, we kindly request a deposit of 25% of your booking.

For payment, you have several options:

1. Transfer to our German or Indonesian bank account via TransferWise (Wise) → preferred option due to low fees, no credit card needed, user-friendly

or

2. National Bank Transfer to German Bank Account (if you transfer as a German guest)

or

3. International Bank Transfer to German or Indonesian Bank Account

or

4. Transfer to our German bank account via PayPal

Once the deposit is received, we will promptly send you a booking confirmation along with a final invoice. We kindly ask that you settle the outstanding payment in cash upon your arrival in Bukit Lawang, preferably in Indonesian currency (IDR). Euro banknotes (€) are also accepted, however, they must be in very good condition.

Of course, it is also possible to make the full payment at the time of booking, if desired.

For any further information or to confirm your booking, please feel free to contact us via email, WhatsApp, or the inquiry form provided above. We will be happy to send you a deposit invoice with our bank details and additional activity information.

Please note that you have 14 days to make the deposit payment. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Friendly Advice: We suggest bringing sufficient cash from Medan airport (KNO) as there are limited ATMs available in Bukit Lawang, which may occasionally reject certain cards or run out of funds.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

If you wish to cancel your booking, please notify us as early as possible.

For cancellations made more than 30 days before the scheduled trek or activity, we will refund the remaining balance after deducting all non-refundable costs that have already been paid or committed for the preparation of your booking. This may include accommodation reservations, transport arrangements, permits, guide fees, administrative expenses, and other planning-related costs already incurred on your behalf.

Please note that expenses already paid by us for the organization and preparation of your tour are non-refundable.

For cancellations made less than 30 days before the scheduled activity, no refund can be provided. However, depending on availability, you may request to reschedule your booking to a different date or package. Additional charges may apply in case of upgrades or higher operational costs.

No refunds can be issued once the activity or trek has started, including in cases of early termination due to personal reasons, health conditions, weather, or dissatisfaction with the activity booked.

 

 

Insurance Policy

Fair Jungle Tours – Sumatra does not offer any type of insurance. We strongly recommend obtaining travel health insurance from your home country. While our guides and team will always do their utmost to ensure your safety, even the most seasoned jungle explorer can encounter minor or major injuries or contract tropical illnesses. We want to ensure you can receive the best possible care if something does occur.

We are not responsible for any damages or injuries sustained in connection with our services, those provided by third parties, or arising from the use of accommodation, transportation, or other services. This includes situations beyond our control, such as labor strikes, political unrest, weather conditions, or natural disasters.
